In the articles A politic that doesn’t look like politics, by Robin Kelley and From weapons of the weak, by James Scott both address the topic of resistance. Some impacts small but can add up. In the article that talks about resistance in the work place. Minimum wage people don't care much for their job as much, because many believe they're not paid enough to deal with certain situations. Although I believe it's bad to think like this because I am thankful for the job I have, but at times I simply hate it. When we think about stores, owners worry about customers stealing, but most of the stealing is done by employees because after all do have easy access to them. I also do this, at my work place we get a 30% off when we're not on shift. I see many coworkers come in and make drinks for free. For me I still value my job so I at least pay for my drink, I'll purchase the smallest size, but when I make it'll make a bigger size and add toppings. I believe my coworkers and I are on the same page and dislike that fact we are paid under the minimum wage because by law they're considered a small business so the minimum wage doesn't apply to them yet. I believe we all think "if we don't get paid at least minimum wage, we'll just abuse the access to supplies". I believe there should be a good relationship between boss and employees, I can see why our boss doesn't want to pay us more because majority of the workers don't do their job properly. This also applies to resisting authority, do it peacefully if you want to be heard, but violently people will get punished and probably won't get want they want from the authorities.
